Make Payments Online!
The Cherokee Community School District is pleased to bring you the online convenience of our new payment processing system, PaySchools. This program allows you to make school-related payments online via e-check or credit card at your convenience all from our school’s Web site.
How It Works
Access our online payment processing system by clicking on the links below. The first time you access PaySchools, you will be asked to create a username and password. You can then choose to pay by e-check or credit card. To pay by e-check (directly debiting your bank account), you will enter your bank’s ABA routing number and personal bank account number. To make your purchase by credit or debit card, enter the account number and expiration date for your VISA, MasterCard or Discover card. After you complete your purchase, an e-mail confirmation and receipt will immediately be sent to you. PaySchools uses “Secure Sockets Layer” (SSL) software, requires passwords throughout the program, and does not store personal bank or credit card information to ensure privacy and security for users.

Google Apps' advanced collaboration and communication tools such as google mail, google calendar, google docs, and google sites make it easy to help our students acquire the skills that will help them soar, in their education and out in the world. There's no hardware to maintain or software to install, no ads, and no cost for schools.
Google Apps for Education offers a free (and ad-free) set of customizable tools that enable faculty, staff and students to work together and learn more effectively.
The Cherokee Community School District has a very active PTA. If you are interested in attending a meeting or joining the PTA, monthly meetings are held at Roosevelt Elementary School in the Library at 6:30pm every third Tuesday. For more information, please contact Valery Fuhrman at 712-225-6760. In past years, PTA fundraisers have included: Chocolate Sales, Frozen Food Sales, Cookbook Sales, Catalog Sales, and Safety and First Aid Kits. Money from fundraisers have contributed to the purchase of books, instructional materials, pen pal postage, videos, iPods, board games, and much more.
All fundraiser donations are tax deductible as the Foundation is recognized by the IRS as a non-profit corporation. The Foundation manages scholarships, gifts, and donations as designated by donor requests. Recently completed by the Foundation was a successful campaign helping the renovate the WHS Auditorium with new seating. A summer reading program and new chairs for the HUB are among items that have also been provided by the CEF. The Foundation was a recipient of the Governor's Volunteer Award for organizations in 2003.
