Students in Ms. Curtis' geometry class are learning how to play chess. Chess is a game that develops both sides of the brain in the same way that learning geometry does. It exercises the brain, increases problem-solving skills, and teaches students how to win and lose. It also gives students a time to learn socialization skills. Many of the student have gone from not knowing anything about the game to being able to compete successfully.
