Healthy Hero- September

The Healthy Hero Award is given each month to one 7th grade student. The Healthy Hero Award is in cooperation with the Cherokee Fitness Center. Characteristics that we look for when nominating a Healthy Hero are: good sportsmanship, leadership, respectful of one’s self, peers, staff members, and property. We also look for students who are active in both the Physical Education setting and outside of the classroom. The student is someone who is self-motivated and willing to help others without being cued to do so.

This month’s winner is Mahren Malausky. Mahren is currently involved in volleyball, but you can also find her on the basketball court or the softball field. Mahren is helpful and leads by example both in the Physical Education classroom and the regular classroom.
