Special Olympics Bowling Team Travels to Council Bluffs

Last weekend The Special Olympics Bowling team traveled to Council Bluffs to compete in the State Competition. Three athletes from the Cherokee Schools made it to state based on their performance at the area competition. All three athletes have been practicing since September and worked extremely hard to get to State. One of our athletes Cateyln Younie was able to be a part of the opening ceremonies by carrying in the torch. After a long drive early in the morning and some tough competition our athletes were able to place in their divisions. Leo Swick received a 1st place medal, Catelyn Younie placed second and Kolby Towne placed 3rd. Congrats to all of the athletes. Your hard work and dedication paid off.
