Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe September Cherokee Chamber of Commerce Student of the Month is Mariana Diaz Hernandez. She is the daughter of Mayra Hernandez and Hector Hugo Diaz.
Mariana is active in band, jazz band, choir, volleyball, TAG, piano, and soccer. She enjoys math and language arts at Cherokee Middle School. Staff at CMS appreciate Mariana for her hard work, integrity, and her willingness to help others.
After graduation, she would like to earn two degrees, so she can become an actuary and a professional musician.
