Special Olympics Bowling Team Travels to Omaha Nebraska
November 25, 2024
The Cherokee Special Olympics bowling team traveled to Omaha to compete in their state competition at Maple Lanes bowling alley. The state competition houses the athletes that advanced from the area competition to be able to complete at the state level. The team bowled amazingly and were able to have fun while bringing home several medals. Lee Cates received a 1st place finish. Kendra Robinson also placed 1st in her age division. Catelyn Younie and Leo Swick placed 2nd. Abby Hansen placed 3rd in her division. All the athletes had a great day of bowling.
A big thank you to Century Lanes in Alta for their continued support of our team over the past several years and letting us train at your facility.
