Boys Golf
February 15, 2024
The boys golf team is coming off a 2024 Class 2A State Tournament appearance at Coldwater Golf Links in Ames, IA. The regular season consists of playing/practicing at the Cherokee Golf Course and hitting range balls in Aurelia. During regular season tournament play, the Braves compete against a tough Lakes Conference lineup full of 3A schools. This allows the boys to be battle tested when it comes to postseason golf season. The Braves golfers consistently put together great performances at the Sectional Tournaments and have qualified for the 2A District Tournament over the past 5 seasons.
The golf team is a close-knit group of boys who enjoy each other’s company. They practice hard and play lots of golf during the summer months in order to improve their game. The Braves Golf Teams (boys and girls) both host an alumni tournament and use the funds generated to pay for trip to hit indoors in Sutherland, practice rounds for sectional and district tournaments, and an end of year trip to TopGolf in Omaha.
The #1 rule of boys golf in Cherokee is to HAVE FUN!
