Dear Cherokee Families,
It is with great joy and excitement that I welcome you to another wonderful year at Cherokee Elementary School! Serving as the principal for our Preschool through 4th grade students is a true honor, and I am grateful each day for the opportunity to partner with you in supporting the learning, growth, and well-being of your children.
At Cherokee Elementary, we believe that every child is capable of achieving great things. Our mission is to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where students not only develop a strong academic foundation but also build the social and emotional skills that will guide them throughout life. From the first day of preschool to the last day of 4th grade, our goal is to help students grow into confident, curious, and compassionate learners.
We are fortunate to have a dedicated staff who are passionate about education and committed to ensuring that all students feel valued and supported. Whether it’s through hands-on learning in the classroom, building friendships on the playground, or celebrating milestones together, our teachers and support staff work hard each day to make sure our students know they belong and are cared for.
Family involvement is a cornerstone of our success. We recognize that you are your child’s first and most important teacher, and we value the partnership we share with you. We encourage you to stay connected, whether by attending school events or simply asking your child about their day. When schools and families work together, children flourish.
Cherokee Elementary is also proud to be a part of a caring and supportive community. Our partnerships with local organizations and the broader Cherokee district allow us to provide unique opportunities and resources for students and families. Together, we can ensure that every child not only succeeds academically but also develops the character and resilience to thrive in today’s world.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education. I look forward to celebrating the many successes and joyful moments this school year will bring. Together, we will continue to make Cherokee Elementary a place where children love to learn, families feel welcomed, and staff are proud to serve.
With warm regards,
Brian Christiansen
